Polishing
Preparation
-
Apply on paint that has been washed and dried
-
Paint should be cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight
-
Never apply polish over entire car and then attempt to buff off. Work only sections at a time. If you do the entire car and can’t remove the product because it has become too dry, simply apply fresh polish over dried polish and buff off. DO NOT try to scrub dry polish off of surface or you may scratch the surface.
Polishing by Hand
Hand Application
The safest way to polish the paint finish. Using the guide below, apply with either a foam applicator pad or cotton towel.
Foam applicator pad
Foam applicator pads are disc shaped foam. They are very soft and durable. They can be washed for multiple uses and they are economical. They can be used for applying polish, wax and tire dressings.
When to use:
When polishing new or like-new paint finishes that have no surface issues such as light scratches or swirl marks. Use when applying einszett PolishWax or einszett Final Finish.
How:
Pour an amount of polish about the size of a quarter onto foam pad. With moderate pressure, polish in an up and down pattern on the paintwork in an area approximately 3′ x 3′. Work polish into the surface until the polish nearly fades. When polish has nearly faded, buff off with a clean microfiber towel. Continue this process, polishing the same section size, until car is complete.
When to use:
When polishing paint that has surface issues such as haze (oxidation), swirl marks or light scratches. Use when applying einszett Paint Polish or Extra.
How:
Pour an amount of polish about the size of a quarter onto cotton towel. With moderate pressure, polish in an up and down pattern on the paintwork in an area approximately 3′ x 3′. Work polish into the surface until the polish nearly fades. When polish has nearly faded, buff off with a clean microfiber towel.
Inspect surface to determine if correction has been achieved. If not, repeat process until desired results are achieved. Continue process until car is complete.

Hello,
i have the same issue, i have a 2010 vw in mettalic gray, and under high lighting (gas station at night) and certain angles, i can see these little scratchs. I have made a few orders from your website and i have the 1z product line of polish’s. but ive only ever washed and prewax cleaner, and waxed my car. (its 2 months old, and was assembled in 12/09). any advice ? i was looking into your video how to’s, and was looking into some more products on your site. (i like the paypal payment feature for ordering from you). i’m willing to spend the money on the products and tools, and proper towels, but i’m really lost for advice. the detailer forums are just confusing me with too much opinions/different products/advice, as well as not knowing the skill level of the people giving the advice, although i know they all mean well. my car is brand new and i’m very catious about using products or tools i dont fully yet understand. although i’m willing to learn.
please send me an email with some advice. thanks
